Introduction
This lab at Michigan State University has its purposes to educate engineer researchers and to conduct research in all aspects of electrical and electromechanical energy conversion. Its members strive to produce correct and useful results that address the needs of industry, government, and finally of the world, for efficient, highly performing systems.
In the recent years, the members of the lab have worked on projects supported by industry, state, and federal government on the design, construction, and testing of electrical machines, the design and implementation of controls for machines and power electronics, the fault diagnosis and failure prognosis in simple and complex drive systems, and the development of power electronics subsystems.
Besides research, the Laboratory is associated with a number of courses in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, both graduate and undergraduate. To find more information about this lab please visit: https://www.egr.msu.edu/emdl/
