Dr. Evangelyn C. Alocilja is a professor in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at Michigan State University and a member of the US National Academy of Inventors. She pioneered nano-biosensor research for rapid disease detection at MSU and a pioneering scientist in the emerging field of blockchain/nano/bio-enabled anti-counterfeiting technologies. Through her work, she has received numerous patents and awards. She is also the founder of the Global Alliance for Rapid Diagnostics, a consortium of scientists around the world committed to improving global health. The goal of her research is to save lives, protect the nation, and sustain the economy by diagnosing diseases and anomalies early, rapidly, inexpensively, and simply.
