PhD ECE, Michigan State University, 2023 (expected)
Biography:
Omkar received his BA in Physics from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2018. He is currently a PhD student in the EMRG working under the supervision of Dr. Shanker Balasubramaniam. His research interests are in computational electromagnetics, primarily in modelling plasma phenomena using Finite Element Particle-in-Cell (EM-FEMPIC) simulations. Besides this, he has also worked on developing techniques for self-consistent, time-domain analysis of EM-circuit systems. He was a finalist in the student paper competition at IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science (ICOPS) 2022.
