Our son, Jared, has had the opportunity to be a part of the ESSA since the summer of 2015, which was right before he began his freshman year at Michigan State University. Beginning that summer until now, the ESSA has been a vital ingredient in Jared’s college success. The summer spent on the campus of MSU allowed him to become familiar with the campus, develop lifelong friends, and gave him additional tools to build upon the skills, talents and gifts he had already developed for success.

One of the highlights/benefits of the vigorous summer long program was the math class that he took that allowed him to get into the Calculus I class that he needed to be on track for his engineering major. That along with the other classes, field trips, and extra-curricular activities was a huge blessing.

While we felt the summer ESSA was an amazing opportunity for him, the required Recitation during his freshman year was also a big help for him. And our experience with the ESSA kept getting better as you have been instrumental in helping him secure additional scholarships for the past three years as well!

Rogers, Jr. (Jared's Parents)The dedication of the ESSA staff to Jared and the other students has been an invaluable experience and it is clear that you believe in the students and are ready to help them be successful during their college years and in the future.

Thank you again and may God bless you both and the rest of the ESSA team.
