EWeek 2014 celebrated the contributions of science and engineering

Lauren Grigg, an ME junior from Novi, volunteered at Engineering Expo on behalf of Tau Beta Pi.Among the many events during EWeek, "An Evening with Industry Banquet" was held on February 19. The annual celebration was co-sponsored by the Women in Engineering Program, Diversity Programs Office and the Center for Spartan Engineering, and hosted by the Society of Women Engineers at the Spartan Club in Spartan Stadium. About 200 students and 100 employer representatives heard a keynote address by Cecelia Smith, vice president and general manager of mixed signal automotive at Texas Instruments Inc. During the evening, MSU alumna Betty Shanahan, who recently retired as the executive director of the Society of Women Engineers, was honored.
