New resources for Conflict of Interest and other Disclosures (FAQ and Faculty Disclosure Matrix) (4/9/2020)

  • OSP has developed new resources to support conflict of interest and other disclosures. The resources include COI FAQs and a listing of disclosures, descriptions, resources and contacts that can be helpful as we reconcile Federal and State requirements and address increasing expectations from Federal agencies. Annual conflict of interest disclosure and online COI training (3/27/2020)

  • As you are stuck home during this pandemic, take some time to get ahead of administrative matters. All MSU faculty, and academic staff with research, teaching, service and outreach responsibilities must submit an annual disclosure of all significant financial interests related to their MSU responsibilities. Go to this site to fill out your annual conflict of interest disclosure and take the online COI training.

2-Factor Authentication for eRA Modules (4/8/2020)

    • eRA is moving to two-factor authentication via login.gov, meaning that log-in will require something you know (password) and something you have (a phone or other device). This new log-in method will be available Wednesday, April 8, 2020 for users of eRA Commons, Commons Mobile, IAR and ASSIST. Click here for more information.

FY 2020 Fiscal Policies for Grant Awards: Funding Levels, Salary Limits, and Stipend Levels (2/5/2020)

    • NIH issued guidance for NIH Fiscal Operations for FY 2020 including the following policies: FY 2020 Funding Levels, Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards (NRSA), Next Generation Researchers Initiative Policy, and Salary Limit is $197,300. Read full policy details here.

Other Authorized User (OAU) role for NSF Fastlane (2/7/2020)

    • Reminder for National Science Foundation (NSF) Fastlane applications: the Pre-award Research Administrators in the Division of Engineering Research Administration (DER) are setup in the Fastlane Proposal System with the Other Authorized User (OAU) role to assist you with your application.

Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG), June 2020 (1/24/2020)

    • The National Science Foundation released a revised version of the Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG), version 20-1. The updated PAPPG will be in effect for proposals submitted or due, and awards made, on or after June 1, 2020. Read the full guide here.
