DECS provides a pop-up message board for use by engineering student organizations for electronic announcements of events and activities. These are the messages that appear when a user logs into one of the DECS lab machines.
How-To Submit a Pop-up
Prepare your information in rich text format, .rtf. (use the Save As function in Microsoft Word or other text editors to save an .rtf file). Strictly limit the content of the file to text only. You may use different size fonts and colors to make it more interesting and readable. The pop-up will not display properly if tables, images, bullet points or hyperlinks are used.
Email your announcements to firstname.lastname@example.org with the date you would like it posted and when you would like it removed. Keep in mind it may take 12 to 24 hours to be posted depending on the time of day and the day it was submitted.
