The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering offers Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering. The civil engineering program includes tracks in the following areas of specialization: geotechnical and pavement engineering; structural engineering, mechanics and materials; hydrology and water resources; and transportation engineering. The civil engineering program is also available online. The environmental engineering program does not have separate formal tracks; students pursing MS or PhD in environmental engineering engage in advanced studies in a number of areas including environmental chemistry; physicochemical processes; environmental microbiology and biotechnology; and hydrology and water resources.
Details of the requirements for these degree programs can be found in the Civil Engineering Graduate Handbook (.pdf) and Environmental Engineering Graduate Handbook (.pdf), respectively.
