CEE Picnic: The Civil & Environmental Engineering Grad Picnic was held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Lake Lansing North Park in Haslett. Faculty, staff, students and their families joined (the attendance was around 130) and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather, good food and activities such as volleyball and badminton. Welcome Grad Students!  The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering welcomes our new graduate students to MSU. The CEE fall grad student orientation was on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. Ensure an exceptional education!

Congratulations Nicholas DeSimpelare -- a 2016 Michigan Scholar  from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). The junior in civil engineering will receive a $5,000, two-year Mackinac Scholarship. Nicholas is active in the MSU's ASCE student chapter. He is from Unionville. The scholarship is named in honor of Michigan's #1 civil engineering project of the 20th century - the Mackinac Bridge - and recognizes a premier civil engineering student from Michigan.
