Sample Sending Information

You are here

Sampling of the feedstock is one of the key parameters to increase the accuracy of the biological assay tests and analytical measurements because of the small amount of sample used in the analyses. The samples are used as received following a vigorous mixing in the lab and stored at 4-8 degrees Celcius or frozen during the study to avoid compositional changes. The composite sampling is recommended for the feedstock materials collected from inflow or outflow streams. If grab sampling is made, then the sample should be prepared by mixing grab samples collected from different locations.

The biological assay test samples should be minimum 250-300 grams collected in sealed containers allowing enough space for biogas, which may produce during the shipment. It is recommended to fill 2/3rd of the container used. Samples should be shipped in an insulated container with ice packs. It is important to place the sample bottles/containers in separate bags to prevent spill and sample loss. The coolers can be returned upon the request.
