The theme of this tutorial is, "What Everyone Involved With Electric Energy Systems Should Know About Reliability." This tutorial will be of value to everyone involved with electric energy systems — practicing engineers, policy makers, students and academics. The topics covered will comprise a balance of fundamental concepts and practical and modern day applications, and will be presented by some of the best known experts in the field.

Within each topic, the basic concepts will be presented in an intuitive and easy-to-understand manner. Some of the key methods and ideas will be explained in detail, and accompanied by examples and illustrative flow-charts. Other methods will be briefly discussed and ample references provided.

The Preface, Contents, and Author Biographies are available for preview. Click here to download a pdf file that will give you a flavor of what will be presented at the tutorial. Register at the GM 2005 web site.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are being offered for this course through IEEE. CEUs translate into Professional Development Hours (PDHs); one CEU equals 10 PDHs.
