RECENT NEWS 

 

1. Tonghun Lee receives the 2008-2009 Withrow Teaching Excellence Award from the John D. and Dortha J. Withrow Endowment. The award will be presented at the 19th Engineering Awards Luncheon on the 26th of March.

 

2. Tonghun Lee is selected as a Faculty Fellow for the 2009 Air Force Summer Faculty Fellowship Program (SFFP) at the Air Force Research Laboratory. Tonghun will spend eight weeks at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in the summer of 2009 where he will be applying laser diagnostics to advanced plasma enhanced combustion systems (2/2009)

 

3. Casey Allen is awarded the 'Colucci Fellowship' for his work in combustion of next generation biofuels. The Colucci Fellowship is awarded to graduated students who have demonstrated outstanding research and scholarship in the field of alternative energy and fuel technology for automotive applications. 4. Dr. Elisa Toulson joins our research group as a postdoctoral scholar after completing her degree at the University of Melbourne. Dr. Toulson will be working at the 'Energy and Automotive Laboratory' with both Drs. Tonghun Lee and Harold Schock, conducting chemical kinetics simulation of next generation biofuels as well as laser diagnostics of high pressure combustion. (1/2009)
