Biosystems Design Project (BE 487)

 

 
BE 485 will lay the foundation and initiate the BE capstone project.  In BE 487, student teams will primarily concentrate on their capstone project. 
 

Course Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will have:

1.      Learned the basic steps of the design process.

2.      Learned the process of economic evaluation of design alternatives.

3.      Reviewed important statistical concepts.

4.      Developed professional presentation and writing skills.

5.      Learned the significance of ethical, safety, and product liability consideration.

6.      Completed a significant product selection exercise.

7.      Selected a senior design project objective, and had it critiqued.

8.  Conducted a major applied project with a real client.

10.  Prepared a report and presentation on applied design.

11.    Presented in the BE Showcase.
