Course Description

Engineering design of machine elements and mechanical systems, Design for static and fatigue strength, deflection and reliability, Machine Components Design, Computer based analysis in support of design.

Course Objective

            Be able to design simple mechanical devices through the analysis techniques provided in this course and other prerequisite courses

Prerequisites

ME 371, ME 391, and ME 222

Plagiarism Policy - Plagiarism is not tolerated in any course at MSU.

Make-up Policy

As a general rule, late homework and project will not be accepted. Make-up exams will only be administered in extreme circumstances and must be justified in advance via a written statement. In emergency situations, decisions regarding make-ups will be made on a case by case basis.
