Programs
Creative, engaging and interactive programs are the primary vehicle through which NSBE
fulfills its mission of creating engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally
and positively impact the community. We provide a variety of programs in the following
core areas to support all demographics impacted by the Society: Academic Excellence;
Technical Excellence; Leadership Development; Community Impact; Pre-College Initiative
and Chapter Development.
General Meetings
Here at NSBE we try to make our general assembly meeting a fun but educational environment.
We appreciate the time given by our dedicated members and do our best to provide them with
a valuable experience. Our meeting our open to all majors but our topics focus on engineering
and techical majors. Meeting range from professional speakers, Black History Jeopardy, NSBE
Wild N' Out, plus various other informative and fun topics.
Community Service
It is NSBE's mission to positively impact the community, charged by this responsibility the
Michigan State University chapter of NSBE participates in various community service
initiatives. These include signature programs such as A Walk For Education (A.W.F.E.) and
grassroot programs such as...
Pre-College Initiative
The Pre-College Initiative (PCI) Program is the National Society of Black Engineers' effort
to promote college, academics, technology and leadership to pre-college students.
Our primary focus is to encourage students in grade 6-12 to develop interest and skills
in math and science.
The MSU chapter of NSBE is currently working on establishing a junior chapter in East Lansing
High School. Keep posted as we work to extend the NSBE legacy.
