I maintain a Job / Events / Career Advice Board outside my office (2212 EB) for ECE Students. The "hottest" jobs that are available on SpartanTrak, InterviewTrak, through the Engineering Co-op Office (1410 EB), and anything else I'm made aware of our posted there. LISTED ON THE BOARD NOW:
HOT JOB: (7/5) Full-time position with X-Rite, Associate Software Engineer, Design, develop and debug software related products. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related mathematical field strongly preferred; Sufficient, demonstrated software development experience may be substituted for a degree.Knowledge of software development and release management concepts, practices and procedures;
Technical skills in the following: C#, Java, C++, and SQL. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows , Mac and Linux / UNIX OS environments
Familiarity with Database architecture, SQL languages , Network and Server architectures and protocols;

HOT JOB: (7/2) ASC Technical Center – Seeking Electrical Engineers! Expanding equipment manufacturer located NW of Detroit is seeking a motivated and degreed Electrical Engineer. Position will be responsible for: Design of material blending and conveying control systems, Integrating various control systems together into a common interface, Interfacing with customers to determine proper control system requirements, Specifying components and coordinating with suppliers to complete projects. Position requires: B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering; Strong desire to grow in the plastics industry; Experience with mechanical, electrical and pneumatic design; PLC programming experience - Allen-Bradley and Mitsubishi; Familiarity with "C" and "Dynamic C" a plus; Knowledge of AutoCAD to complete electrical drawings. Career Services and Placement is located in the basement of the Student Services Building. They offer some great magazines e.g., "Planning Job Choices for Engineering." This magazine (book) lists hundreds of companies and what they are looking for in qualified candidates ( lists contact information for full-time/co-op/intern search). Also, the MSU produced Career Passport - A guide to leading an effective career search, is available every day in the Career Development Center (Room 6 Student Services Building, from Jim Novak, Engineering Career Consultant (2465 EB) or outside my office (2212 EB).
