Additional TI Software

These programs have been furnished by users and may have features similiar to those distributed by the authors of "Intoductory Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics" at the site www.egr.msu.edu/~lira/readcomp.htm.

These programs are unsupported by the textbook authors, however the software authors have agreed to provide support in order to distribute the programs here. The software author contact information is in the readme file that accomanies the archived file.

To access the ftp site, use the links below, and if prompted, log in as anonymous and use your complete email as a password. Put the archived program file on a dedicated directory on a PC, and run the program to extract the files. Then use the TI GraphLink software to download to your calculator.

TI89 programs (Clint and Aaron Allen, Michigan State University, Spring 1999). Click to access files.

These programs are written for the TI-92 and the TI-89 by using the TI Graphlink software downloadable from TI's web site. The versions are essentially the same in functionality, but the I/O screens have been made smaller in the TI-89 version.

Two point interpolation: linear, log and semi-log
the Antoine equation: will find Psat or T depending on what is unknown. If Psat is unknown leave blank, if T is unknown leave it blank.
Enthalpy calculations: Based on heat capacities, Peng-Robinson equation of state, will find Z,V,F,H,U,S and departures for H,U,S based on a desired reference state
Peng-Robinson Fugacities: Uses 2 or 3 component mixtures, will find Z,V,F and the component fugacites as well as the component fugacity coefficients for each component.
Virial Equation (MIXTURE): uses 2 components to find component fugacites as well as the component fugacity coefficients for each component.
