The solution of rectangular lattice plates with elastic supports subjected to bending is obtained using a decomposition method (Pshenichnov 1985). The lattice plate is modeled approximately as a continuous system. An analytical approach is used to reduce the problem to the solution of a fourth-order partial differential equation subjected to various boundary conditions. This approach provides the analytical dependencies between the force characteristics of lattice members and the continuum model. The resulting boundary value problem is solved by a decomposition method presented in the companion paper. A comparison of results with well-known solutions for rigid and hinged supports, demonstrates the high accuracy of this analytical method.
