Sponsor Drive, East Lansing, MI
A cold and rainy Saturday marked the team's annual Sponsor Drive; the event that brings current team members, alumni, faculty and sponsors together for an afternoon of fun, food and driving racecars. Though still cold, the rain stopped late in the morning and made for a tolerable environment for the drive.
Sponsors and alumni streamed in and out of the nice yellow and white tent provided by Michigan International Speedway, chatting with team members over cups of hot chocolate, Sir Pizza pizza and hamburgers. Sounds from the last 60 years of musical hits streamed from the Jukebox provided by Zemke Operated Machines, and provided a nice distraction from the semi-chilly fall temperatures.
The team would also like to thank the MSU Museum and The Center, who provided the tables and projection screen for the event, allowing guests to sit down and watch a slideshow of photographs from Car 9's competition glory days.
