In the next several months, the MSU Formula Racing Team is committed to making a positive impact upon the environment. Team members are pursuing a campaign to power all future Michigan State Formula SAE cars solely on E85 fuel, as we believe that cleaner, greener fuels are the only way to power vehicles.

We are committed to changing the negative, dirty stigma that has attached itself to racing and to using our vehicles to further showcase the multitude of positive things that ethanol blends can do for cars. Currently in R&D to minimize problems and reconfigure our powertrain for this new fuel, Go Clean is slated to be introduced on our 2009 racecar: the FSAE car that will be designed and built by our team during the 2008-2009 academic year.
