Deep Bandyopadhyay received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering form Bangalore University, India, in 2001 and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2004. He started his PhD at Michigan State University from August 2004. He is presently working as a Graduate Research Assistant for Dr. André Bénard, Associate Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering, Michigan State University. He was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at MSU for Fluid Mechanics (Experimental and Theory) and Heat and Mass Transfer (Theory) from August 2004-2005. He was a Graduate Research Assistant for Dr. Bryan R. Becker, Chair of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, UMKC and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Dr. Forrest S. Lowe, Visiting Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, UMKC. He received "Chancellors Non Resident Award" and “Outstanding Student Award” from School of Computing Engineering, UMKC.
