August 2004/December 2004 – MHA Insurance Company - Lansing, MI
Programmer Analyst 

·         Worked for the company that has been serving health care providers since 1976, and they provide professional medical liability insurance, on direct basis, to more than 200 health care facilities and more than 5000 physicians in several states.

·         Completed two important projects for the Risk Management department of the company. While I was working on these projects, I worked within the Information Technology department with a little supervision and training.

·         Implemented evaluation form scanning and data collection using Visual Basic 6.0. Risk Management department was responsible for providing conferences for the physicians in terms of medical issues such as Internal Bleeding.

·         Automated the process using Visual Basic and Kofax scan stations. Provided reports using Visual Studio .NET reporting services.

·         Also accomplished another project with a bigger scope related to the first project, and indeed was using the output of the first one as an input. The second project was an application called Education Application that had many different uses for Risk Management department.  For this project, I used MS Access and Visual Basic mostly.

·         Worked very closely with the staff who requested this program. By using this application, the Risk Management department was given the ability of doing many different kinds of activities for their insured hospitals and physicians.

·         Created many forms having different functionalities. Some of these main forms that created and programmed are to search for the hospitals and physicians based on various criteria, to create new conferences and registering physicians to them, to make reports about passed conferences, and adding new clients as well as editing existing ones.
