Spring Semester is PACKED with lots of exciting events! Here are just a few put in your calendar!
MSU Women in Computing
Congratulations to two of our women faculty who were honored at the 24th Engineering Awards Luncheon. The Withrow Distinguished Scholar Senior Award was presented to Dr. Christina Chan, professor in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science. The Withrow Teaching Excellence Awards was presented to Dr. Tamara Reid Bush, assistant professor in Mechanical Engineering.

Congratulations to the women receiving the Aspirations in Computing awards this weekend at The Kellogg Center. These women come from High Schools across the state and are interested in pursuing engineering or computer science degrees in college.
Women in Engineering Groups
Our 3 student groups are off to a quick start! Here are short explanations and a website connection for each group! Check their website for more info and dates for specific events.
Society of Women Engineers (SWE): This is a National professional organization that supports the recruitment and retention of Women in Engineering. We have regular meetings and do outreach, community service and social activities together! www.egr.msu.edu/swe
Women In Computing (WIC): This is a professional organization that supports the recruitment and retnetion of Women in the computer fields. We have regular meetings and do outreach, community service and social activities together! www.cse.msu.edu/msuwic
Phi Sigma Rho: This is a social sorority for female engineers, and is an exclusive group for those who are invited to join. There will be rush events in the fall and spring of each year.
