Summer Research Opportunity
Summer Research Internships in the College of Engineering
The College of Engineering, in partnership with the Provost's Office and Engineering faculty will offer summer research opportunities for high achieving students. The intent of this program is to encourage undergraduate students to consider pursuing graduate degrees and to provide then an early opportunity to become involved in research.
Students will receive $11.00 per hour up to a maximum of 40 hours per week and 400 hours total for the summer.
Once again, the College of Engineering is offering summer research interns for 2009. To be eligible for this research opportunity, you should be one to three semesters from graduation:
- December 2009
- May/June 2010
- August 2010
The application process consist of an application form which can be located on MySpartanCareer.com position #17069, a statement of no more than one page explaining how participation in this research opportunity will relate to your career interests in research and graduate school. If you have specific research areas in which you would like to work (or specific faculty with whom you would like to work), please note them here. Please include a resume with your application. If you already have research experience, please note it on your resume.
Student who do not fit into the graduation time frame will be considered on an as needed basis.

Students selected for the program will be notified as soon as possible but not later than March. Selections will be made in each department, considering students' potential and current research projects in the department. Notified students will be expected to make a firm commitment to whether they will participate within two weeks after notification. Alternate students may be contacted later if positions remain available.
