How can I change my engineering major?

Freshmen and sophomore students are free to change majors at any time until 56 total college credits (MSU, transfer and AP credits combined) are earned.  All MSU students must be admitted to a degree-granting program when 56 credits are attained.  Visit the advising office in the Engagement Center in your neighborhood to change majors.  If you are already admitted to the college in your current engineering major and change to another engineering major, you will lose your college admission status for your current major and must meet the admission requirements for your new major.
Engineering juniors and seniors wishing to change majors must submit a college admission application and will be reviewed again at the end of the semester.  If all requirements are met, you will be admitted into the College.  If you do not meet the requirements of admission, you must change your major out of the College of Engineering.
