What will you gain from Triangle?
In Triangle, Brothers learn lessons of group living, personality and character development. Triangle, thus, provides a bridge between academic life and a career, as well as a foundation for success in the years after college.
Brotherhood
This chapter prides itself on its Brotherhood. As one of the smaller houses, we are close to one another. Besides the Brothers you will gain at Michigan State University, you will also gain the Brotherhood of all Brothers of Triangle worldwide.
Academics
The chapter places a great importance on academics. Each member is required to maintain above a 2.6 GPA. Brothers often tutor one another, because of the shared classes that engineers and sciences are required to take. Besides the direct help, we have previous tests and notes for common classes taken in prior semesters. Resources such as these, prove very beneficial to younger brothers and new members.
Professionalism
Though academics are great in preparation for the professionalism expected in current business settings, Triangle provides an extended set of rescources to its Brothers. As a Brother you will have access to new, broad networks of alumni who have already taken their first steps into the professional world. These connections can not only provide younger Brothers with an incredible amount of wisdom, but a tangible advantage over others in finding a career after college.
Social Skills
It is common for those in the disciplines of Engineering and Science to spend much of their college career glued to a computer screen or stuck
in late labs desperately trying to finish projects. While Triangle, unfortunately, cannot provide an easier curriculum for
its Brothers, it intends to allow us social connections that would likely not be made within such a curriculum. Being that Triangle is a Greek
organization, its Brothers receive access to this large social network within Michigan State's student community. The social skills gained from
such exposure, will provide Brothers with the skills to communicate effectively as well as to work in groups which are both great skills to posses
in the professional world.
Leadership and Responsibility
There are many opportunities that exist within the chapter for you to gain these great qualities. Even in your pledge semester there are opportunities to be the leader of your class. As a Brother of Triangle there are many important positions to be filled, whether it is the most important president position or simply the webmaster, you will be able to show employers and other Brothers that you can be relied upon to take initiative, and be successful.
