Indiana Harbor and Canal
Dredging Review

At the request of Northwest Indiana-area citizens, the Michigan State University TOSC Program is pleased to provide a review of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' "Indiana Harbor and Canal Dredging and Disposal Alternatives Analysis." TOSC's principal reviewer was Dr. Danny Reible, Professor of Chemical Engineering at Louisiana State University. TOSC's review represents an independent examination of key questions and concerns expressed by residents regarding the Corps's plan to dredge sediments from the Indiana Harbor and Canal. Dr. Reible will address questions about the review in a public meeting planned for late May or early June in East Chicago.
