Indiana Harbor and Canal, Indiana

On February 12th, 2003, TOSC and Grand Calumet Task Force held a community meeting to discuss the dredging of sediments from the Indiana Harbor and Canal (IHC) and the construction of a confined disposal facility in East Chicago, Indiana. The meeting provided an opportunity for improved understanding of the scope of the technical and the outreach assistance that it can provide, description of the CDF and innovative remediation options through presentations from university researchers.
