A look ahead at this week's important issues.

Meeting to review cleanup proposals

An informational meeting about proposals to clean up contaminated groundwater on Ann Arbor's west side will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Washtenaw Intermediate School District offices, 1819 S. Wagner Road.

The meeting is sponsored by the Michigan State University Technical Outreach Services for Communities program, the city of Ann Arbor and Scio Residents for Safe Water.

Experts with TOSC, a program that provides independent technical expertise to communities with contaminated sites or air quality problems, have reviewed cleanup plans from Pall Life Sciences and the state Department of Environmental Quality. They will present their findings at the meeting.

Relevant documents are available on the TOSC Web site at www.tosc.msu.edu/gelman. Call (800) 490-3890 for details.
