Additional ActivitiesTOSC welcomes suggestions and ideas for additional work and is willing to work with interested citizens to focus on the issues of greatest concern to the community. TOSC will hold quarterly meetings with citizens, and at other times as necessary, to update the com-munity and present findings of reviews. TOSC will provide written summaries of meetings where needed, and other written materials that address key technical issues (e.g., fact sheets on various topics). Community meetings held by TOSC will be co-sponsored by Oregon-area citizens and the Midwest Hazardous Substance Research Center, and public notice will be given through notices in area newspapers and the posting of flyers. Consistent with the mission
of TOSC and the availability of program resources, additional technical
services may be provided, if requested. For example, TOSC may speak to
area high school science classes, or other local groups, about the ESOI
site and site cleanup en-gineering and sciences. Final decision about
