• Announcement for Title V workshop in Detroit on May 18 and 19 is advertised on the EPA's website.

• The draft permit for the Minergy glass aggregate facility (i.e., sludge incinerator), #175-00, has been released to the public. A 30-day comment period began on May 29, 2001 and any interested party may submit comments to MDEQ. • At the community meeting on March 7, TOSC suggested that interested citizens review the Responsible Care® program from the American Chemistry Council as a possible template in forming a local advisory committee. The Responsible Care® program has been successful in partnering industry and citizens to make progress toward the vision of no accidents, injuries or harm to the environment. Committees such as these provide a forum for local industry to listen and respond to public concerns, as well as, report on their environmental performance.
