WINTON PLACE AND
WINTON HILLS AIR MONITORING PROJECT
SITE LOCATION
Cincinnati, Ohio
SITE DESCRIPTION (as of dates of TOSC assistance)
Community organizations contacted TOSC due to concerns
over air quality in the City of Cincinnati, Ohio, and their desire for
an outside review of plans for conducting air monitoring.
The Michigan State University TOSC Program reviewed U.S.
EPA’s plan to conduct air monitoring in the Winton Place and Winton
Hills neighborhoods. In 1997 and 1998, TOSC also developed fact sheets
and held educational workshops on air quality and air monitoring, including
a Guide
to Toxic Air Pollutants and a Glossary
of Air Monitoring Terminology. TOSC presentation materials may be
found here.
