Argon Ion Lasers
| The TMUAL has two Argon Ion lasers. The one next
to the water tunnel is a Lexel 95 with a maximum power output of 3W. The
Argon Ion laser next to the small Mixing Layer Facility is an Excel 3000
with a maximum power output of 4W.
The former laser is mainly used for Hydrogen Bubble flow visualization experiments in the water tunnel. The latter laser is mainly used for Laser Induced Fluorescence (LIF) experiments in the Mixing Layer Facility for concentration measurements. |
