Recent grants from State and Federal government bring millions of dollars to MSU bio-based research
College of Engineering research to benefit from recent State and Federal grant funding for bio-based projects, including $125 million funding renewal by the U.S. Department of Energy for the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center, and $2.4 million from the Michigan Strategic Fund and MSU, to fast-track bio-based MSU research projects for commercial development.

College of Engineering research will benefit from recent State and Federal grant funding for bio-based research.  The U.S. Department of Energy recently renewed $125 million in funding for the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center. In addition, the Michigan Strategic Fund, together with matching funds from MSU, has granted $2.4 million to fast-track several bio-based MSU research projects  for commercial development.
