High School Buddy Day

SWE members, along with volunteers from Tau Beta Pi, Triangle Fraternity, and general College of Engineering membership, host one or more high school students for a day in an engineering student's life.

  • What is Buddy Day?

Buddy Day is a day that High School students come and shadow and MSU engineering student for the day. High school buddies will have a chance to attend some engineering classes, see the campus, and generally experience a day in the life of an engineering student at MSU.

  • When is it?

To be announced... Please contact our outreach chairs Lauren Hendry , Yvonne Machiniak, and Jenny Schmaus with possible dates if you're interested.

  • How can I sign up?

Interested high school students, teachers, and counselors can sign up by contacting Lauren Hendry , Yvonne Machiniak, and Jenny Schmaus . If you can't make it on our scheduled Buddy Day, ask about individual visits. If you are an MSU student interested in being a Buddy Day host, please contact an E-Board member as well.

  • Why should you sign up?

Buddy Day is a great way to get involved in SWE! Also, this can go on your resume, fulfill a service project, etc. We need people from all majors (both men and women).

  • Questions?

If you have any questions about this day please contact Lauren Hendry , Yvonne Machiniak, and Jenny Schmaus
