Sydney or Melbourne, Australia

Open to engineering students to study at either the University of New South Wales in Sydney or Monash University in Melbourne. Choose to study for either one semester or a full year.

Costa Rica

Located in beautiful-tropical Central America, this winter-break (two-week 4 credits minimum) program explores the design and performance of clean energy and water systems in the tropics.

Lyngby, Denmark

Denmark Technical University (DTU) Open to  mechanical engineering students and other majors by permission. Fall and spring terms. 
 

Lyon, France

This program is open to students with a main focus on Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic & Automation Engineering. It takes place in Lyon, France, a beautiful city, which is only two hours from Paris by train.

Aachen, Germany

A Mechanical Engineering research project worth 12 credits at The Rheinisch Westfalische Technische Hochschule during the Summer Semester.

Kaiserslautern, Germany

Open to students in Electrical  and Engineering, Computer Engineering.   Five to seven MSU students study at the University of Kaiserslautern from early May to late July.

Hong Kong (HKUST), China

This program is open to Computer Science and Engineering students, along with other engineering majors (by permission) in the fall and the spring.

Edinburgh, Scotland

Appropriate students for this program would be ME students who expect to have completed ME 332-Fluid Mechanics before going to Edinburgh.

Madrid, Spain

This program is open in the fall and spring semesters to students drawn from Material Science and Chemical Engineering. Juniors and Seniors are encouraged to apply.

Also offered in the summer to multiple engineering majors; MSE, CHE, ME, EE, and others by department permission.

Sweden / Denmark / Germany

This program will be technical in nature and will address various forms of renewable energies and associated technologies, economics, safety and environmental impacts.

Taipei or Hsinchu, Taiwan

EE, ME, Civil and other engineering majors by permission.  Selected courses taught in English.  Open to juniors and seniors, during both fall and spring semesters. National Taiwan university in Taipei and Tsing Hua University in Hsinchu.  Early applications are advised.

Dar es Salaam and Arusha, Tanzania

This program focuses on information and communication technology for developing countries.  It is open to students enrolled in bachelor's programs at Michigan State University are eligible to apply for the specialization if they are sophomores, juniors, and seniors in good academic standing.

Eskisehir, Turkey

Engineering students have the opportunity to study at Anadolu University (AU) in Eskisehir, Turkey through this direct enrollment program. Most engineering classes are taught in English and summer courses are open to both MSU and AU students.
