About NASC

The North American Solar Challenge (NASC) is a solar car competition across the United States and Canada with the mission "to promote and celebrate educational excellence in science and engineering." It is one of the two major solar car challenges in the world, attracting entrants from universities as far away as Gemany and Turkey. The rayce occurs every 2-3 years, with teams spending the time between events constructing their next generation vehicle. We are currently preparing for NASC 2008, which is coming up this July.

The event is a 2400-mile endurance rayce stretching from Dallas, TX to Calgary, Alberta. You can see the rayce route below.
