About Us

The Michigan State University Solar Car Team is a registered student organization dedicated to the research, design, construction, and testing of a solar powered vehicle. We are currently focusing our efforts in preparation for the 2008 North American Solar Challenge (NASC 2008), "a competition to design, build, and rayce solar-powered cars in a cross-country event."

Goals

Pursue the development of solar power as an alternative energy.
Construct our premiere vehicle, Brasidius, and "rayce" it in the 2008 North American Solar Challenge.
Develop a driven, intelligent, and productive rayce team.
Complete the 2400-mile endurance based Challenge by performing competitively against seasoned teams.
