2004-2005

Being the president of SEC for the year 2004-2005, I would first like to congratulate my team for not only continuing the legacy of events by the past E-boards, but also introducing some of the major ground breaking moments in SEC history, such as the introduction of Organization-night (O-night) and E-week committee. We are certainly proud to be the founders of these aspects of SEC and hope that the legacy of the past events will continue through SEC in the future.

On behalf of SEC, I would like to specially recognize the hard work of some of the leaders that made a significant difference and bringing our student organization to the level of success and popularity it enjoys today:

I will like to congratulate Michael Glasby for his utmost dedication towards founding of the O-night event. Michael not only coined the name “O-night”, but also was a key person in planning the platform for the entire event. The event significantly raised student participation in student organizations. SEC enjoyed a breakthrough in its popularity and fame through this event. Michael also improved the SEC website and made easy navigation system for future web editors. Thank you Michael for your contribution.

I will specially like to thank Adam Zemke, Amy Vanstrie, Ana and Rahber for their revitalizing of National Engineers Week (E-week) in MSU. With their contribution, E-week enjoyed a massive success through involvement by students not only in engineering but from other colleges in MSU as well. E-week got a new life from their contribution. Thank you for your remarkable participation.

Lastly, I will like to thank Kelly Wells for her dedication to SEC by effectively advertising the cause and events. No doubt her contribution added a great deal towards the success of SEC in 2004-2005.

Once again, thank you SEC E-board for your valuable participation. No doubt your services are a source of inspiration for future E-boards.

Regards,

Rafat I Elahi

SEC President (2004-2005)

SEC Vice President (2003-2004)

P.S It is our request to future E-boards to kindly make the above recognition available in future websites and also add any of their special moments in order for future SEC E-boards to learn from us. Thanks.
