Regional Conference (Mid-West)
The recent NAESC conference for
Mid-West region was held in Columbus, OH at Ohio
State University
from November 17th to 20th. The Student Engineering Council at MSU once again participated with six
members namely: Amy Radford (Adviser), Naomi Thomas (President), Ana
Almonte(Vice President), Hamid Ahmed(Public Relations), Karthik S.(Computing
& DECS) and Hammad Ghazali(Communications). The three day conference
included meetings, presentations, tours and entertainment activities. Above
all it proved to be an effective and productive event, enhancing the
importance of sharing ideas and thoughts. A special presentation in the honor
of MSU sesquicentennial was presented by Hamid and Karthik. It was titled
“Engineering The Spartan
Way” and created by Ana Almontev.
President Naomi Thomas offered the bid for next regional conference to be
held in Michigan
State University,
we not only won the bid but also managed to snatch two positions in the
regional committee. Ana is elected VP of Out Reach where as Hammad was voted
as VP of Administration….[more]
 Water Carnival
Water Carnival 2005
was a historical moment for Michigan
State University
as well as for College
of Engineering. The
famous tradition of floating rafts in Red Cedar river by MSU Alumni
Association was discontinued in 1969. On Friday, 7th September the
legacy was once again established and Student Engineering Council proudly and enthusiastically participated in this
event representing Michigan Sate College of
