Perhaps the best time to visit New Orleans and Louisiana is early spring. Days are pleasant, except for seasonal cloudbursts, and nights are cool.

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport
(airport code: MSY)

The major gateway to New Orleans is New Orleans International Airport (900 Airline Dr., Kenner, LA) situated approximately 11 miles from the Central Business District (CBD). CBD includes the Hilton hotel, Riverwalk, French Quarter, and Jackson Square. Taxicabs, shuttle buses, and public transportation have routes that can get you to the CBD 24-hours a day.
