THE SUBMISSION IS CLOSED.

THESE INSTRUCTIONS APPLIED TO INITIAL PAPER SUBMISSION AND ARE NOT APPLICABLE FOR FINAL PAPER SUBMISSION.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FINAL PAPER SUBMISSION ARE [ HERE ].

Paper Format

Authors must submit their papers electronically via Web upload (follow the link on the bottom of this page).

Submitted papers MUST BE in Portable Document Format (PDF) format.
NO OTHER FILE FORMATS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
[Earlier versions of the Call for Papers listed Postscript as one of the acceptable formats; this does NOT apply any more. On converting Postscript to PDF, see instructions below.]

Six (6) camera-ready pages, including figures, are allowed for each paper. A maximum of two (2) additional pages is permitted at extra charge.

Papers should adhere to the standard IEEE double-column format for conferences. The first page of the paper, centered on the top below the top margin, should include the paper title, the authors' names and their affiliations, an abstract, and keywords. Use the sample paper as a visual aid for formatting. Templates are available below:

Templates for final camera-ready paper
Microsoft Word 97/2000 LaTeX
(for manuscript)
LaTeX
(for bibliography)
US letter Unix (tar.gz) Unix (tar.gz)
A4 Windows (zip) Windows (zip)

You may also get the templates and stylesheets directly from IEEE's Web site.

The most important elements of the paper layout are:

1) Margin requirements: these must be strictly followed. Papers cannot be accepted until proper margins are used.

  US Letter A4
Top margin 0.75 inch 19 mm
Bottom margin 1 inch 43 mm
Side margins 0.625 inch 13 mm

2) Papers should NOT have

  • Page numbers
  • Headers
  • Footers

3) Page limit: :

  • 6 pages for regular papers
  • a maximum of 2 additional pages is permitted at extra charge
  • overlength papers (more than 8 pages) will not be accepted
  • illustrations and references are included in the page count

The only accepted file format is Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF).

On conversion from Postscript to PDF...

Postscript files may be converted to PDF by using Ghostview/Ghostcript (free).

MS Word users can convert their papers to PDF by using http://createpdf.adobe.com. This is a free service that can convert MS Word to PDF.

There are also several commercially available tools for converting PS to PDF (e.g. Acrobat Distiller).

Paper upload

Papers must be submitted via Web upload. Follow the link "Ready to submit paper" below to enter the Web upload system. There you will find detailed instructions on the submission procedure.

Please submit early to avoid the last minute crunch.
NO OTHER MEANS OF PAPER SUBMISSION IS AVAILABLE.
