ICRA-04 Session summary
Abstract
Robotics offers an excellent platform for education on issues related
to control, software engineering, sensory fusion, planning and human-robot
interaction. Today there is already a wide variety of educational
programmes and courses related to robotics in general. The range
of methods used in teaching of robotics and the integration into
curricula such as ME, CS, EE ... is quite varied. At the same time
excellent teaching material, platforms for teaching and education
material is becoming available. The aim of this workshop is to discuss
the various approaches to teaching of robotics, to survey platforms
for basic and advanced education of robotics and investigate the
potential for setup of a repository on sharing of teaching material
across the field.
Primary and secondary audience
Robotics educators at universities through out the community.
