The At-a-Glance brochures, a set of annual publications, were first published in 2002 as an annual report in brief for each department. Over time, they have come to be used as a recruitment tool and a simple way of introducing someone to a department.
The Choices brochure is a recruitment tool for the undergraduate engineering program. It explains what engineering is and outlines the benefits of studying engineering at MSU.
Currents Magazine ceased publication as a print magazine in 2009. It was published twice a year and was mailed to alumni and friends of the College of Engineering. Circulation was approximately 26,000.

The Spartan Engineer was a student-edited magazine published quarterly from 1948 to 1972. Articles were written primarily by engineering students about job opportunities in engineering and engineering-related campus events. Spartan Engineer ceased publication with the April/May 1972 issue.
