T. Jerry Linton
T. Jerry Linton (BS Mech Egr ’56) died peacefully at home on April 30, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.
Linton was born April 18, 1934, in Albion, Mich. After graduating from Michigan State University, he worked for the DuPont Company for nearly four decades before retiring in 1994 as an executive accounts manager for the fluoropolymer resins business.
He and wife, Jody, settled in Wilmington, Del., where he enjoyed coaching his sons' Little League team and serving as president of the Diocesan Council of the Episcopal Church. After retiring, he and his wife relocated to Aiken, S.C., where he served on the boards of the Aiken Center for the Arts and the Cumbee Center to Assist Abused Persons. He was an avid golfer, day sailor, and fly fisherman, as well as a dedicated fan of the Eagles, Phillies, and Michigan State Spartans.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years; children Jeffrey, David, and Kimberley; and eight grandchildren.
