Myron "Mike" Gilbert Brown

Myron "Mike" Gilbert Brown (BS '49, MS '50, Chem Egr) of East Lansing, Michigan, died December 26, 2010, at the age of 84. He was born January 31, 1926, to Darwin and Bertha Brown in Plymouth, Michigan.

Brown served as a professional engineer with the Michigan Department of State Highways and Transportation where he served as the Head of the Materials Research Unit in the Departments Testing and Research Division. He was a World War II veteran and was awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge. He was a charter member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; nieces and nephews, Lori (John) Kelley of Haslett; Jody (Warren) Kimble of Haslett; Jim (Sherry) Haviland of Mt. Morris; Richard (Lisa) Haviland of Haslett; Patricia (John) Ludwig of Denver, Colorado; Michael (Donna) Soule of Bloomfield Hills; and good friends, Nancy Ridley and Camala Reissinger of Okemos; and Karl Bartels of Haslett.
