Charles Eric "Chuck" Walls (BS Mech Egr ’69) died October 23, 2011. He was born in Bellville, Mich., on November 27, 1947. After graduation, Walls worked at General Motors in Detroit for a short time before changing careers and entering the restaurant business as an entrepreneur.

He married Alice Jean (Holland) Walls on April 7, 1973, and held various restaurant-industry related jobs in Wisconsin, Kansas, and Indiana. Owen was also an accomplished racecar driver, artist, and inventor.

Walls is survived by his wife, Alice; his son Charles "Chuck" (Connie) Walls; his daughter Sara (Dan) Ellis; his granddaughter, Alexandra; and his stepmother, Catherine M. Walls.
