William H. Cruse

William H. Cruse (BS ELEC EGR '50) of East Lansing (formerly Okemos, Traverse City and Siesta Key, Florida) died Dec. 15, 2016. He was 90.

He was born on April 6, 1926, in Jackson, graduated from Sexton High School in Lansing in January 1945. He served in the Navy from 1945 -1946.

He received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from MSU in 1950.

He owned Tape Recording Industries and then Cruse Communications until his retirement in 1992.

He was a member of the Haslett-Okemos Rotary, Michigan Pilots & Owners Association, International Television Association, Civil Air Patrol, EAA, and the Bald Eagles. Throughout his lifetime his interests were: pistol shooting competitions, flying his airplane, ham radio, photography, and boating.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years Joan (Force) Cruse; son, Robert (LuAnn) Cruse; daughter, Marjorie Cruse and granddaughter, Carley Rose Cruse. 

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
