Merwin "Murray" Revoldt

Merwin "Murray" Revoldt (BS Elec Egr '49) of Jackson Township, Ohio, died peacefully at his residence on Feb. 7. He was 90.

He was born in Detroit on April 16, 1924. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII, earning a purple heart and a bronze star.

On return from military service, he graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1949.

Murray retired in 1989, from Goodyear Aerospace-Loral Corp.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Marilyn Revoldt; children, Daryl (Christy), Paul (Nichole), both of North Canton, and Lauren (Roger) Fertelmes, of Pittsburgh, Penn.; eight grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; step-children, Elizabeth (Paul) Stoner, Paul (Mindy) Welsh, Diane (Bud) Robinson, and Claudia (Dave) Knepshield, all of the Canton area; six step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

There was a private burial at Rose Hill Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Stark County Humane Society or a military charity of your choice. Arrangements were made by the Mark R. Vrabel Funeral Home, North Canton, Ohio.
