Paul H. Woodruff

July 12, 2016

Paul H. Woodruff (BS ‘59, MS ’61 CIV EGR) sold Sustainable Resources Group in February 2016.

It was the last of 66 companies that was originally part of the Environmental Resources Management, Inc. (ERM). All but this company and two others were previously sold in April 2001.  Woodruff founded the ERM Group in 1977 and led it as chairman and CEO until 2001.

The ERM Group has grown from $240 million in revenue, with offices in 32 countries in 2001, to more than $1 billion in revenue and staff in 39 countries. ERM is reportedly now the largest all environmental consulting firm in the world.

Woodruff still enjoys serving on several for profit and nonprofit boards, as well as winding up several remaining active business investments.

He and his wife of 57 years, the Rev. Dr. Marcia J. (Misteli) Woodruff (BS child development ‘61) are looking forward to more leisure time with their five children, 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
